The European affair… #2 The views of Paris – The Eiffel

From Esplanade du Trocadéro

“Tombé en amour avec la dame élégante au premier coup d’œil …”

Lets not rush for the translator… my attempt in expressing in French verbose was to put through my realization from my visits to this place on the earth…

PARIS… The beautiful lady that I fell in love with ..

It was my very first tyst with European mainland, previously only being confined to the main city if London and its suburbs and sometimes venturing out to the highlands of Wales or treading the Scottish terrain. Getting my first Schengen permit and the thrills of boarding the EuroStar was enough to get my adrenaline pumping…

But… But.. lets do it in phases… The city has to offer a lot .. really a lot… and so .. let me have the privilege of showcasing the most iconic monument of all in this city..

‘ La Tour Eiffel ‘

Its Imposing… it is Grandeur redefined.. my small dictionary will run out of word to describe its beauty… but honestly .. it is a master piece.

If I try to be true, on the initial glances I had actually ridiculed the millions of fellow travelers and questioned their likings wondering what is there to like in the massing structure of steel … But as I kept wondering a strange sense inclination started to build inside me which metamorphosed my initial doubts in thoughts in likeness and praise for this amazing architectural elegance.

What puzzled and intrigued me even more was the multitude of views it offered from various parts of the city.. coupled with other iconic structures..

It was always there… Somehow it makes its presence felt in every breath of the city, in every beat of the city…

My humble attempts in capturing the symphony of Eiffel…

PS. ‘Pl. Jacques Rueff’ – Might sound confusing, but is the name of the road going though the Eiffel gardens.

Shifting the coordinates to the other side of the Seine, from the Esplanade du Trocadéro, offers yet another view to remember.

The tower in itself offers a wide array of angles and bends to be captured and made a part of the remembrance.

And then, when looked from various parts of the city, the magnificent mesh of steel blends into the skyline ..

But then again, how can one forget the shimmering lady dressed in diamonds and gold painted on the canvas of the dark black night sky… That’s a splendor sure to etched in one’s heart and mind…

The Lady at Night...
The Lady at Night…

The Paris saga would continue… with some different views of the city… till then let the Eiffel charm us…. !!

Cheers
